Though I grew up Episcopalian, I didn't really have a serious faith until later in life. In fact, I was pretty much an atheist for most of my adult life and had zero interest in changing that. I'd say the biggest difference for me now is that I really do view everyone as God's child and that means everyone deserves grace and respect. I think in the past I might have told you I believed that but really I lived in a liberal bubble and was pretty contemptuous of people who didn't see the world the way I did. I also now see humanity as totally interconnected and am completely anti-individualism. It's sad that Americans believe that individualism is so great, because I really do believe we would be a better country if we held the concept of community as a higher value.
